Movies in the Wild!!!

Do you enjoy camping under the stars? Do you love classic movies? So do we !!! Come join Venture Unknown and friends for a movie night like no other!! For this showing we will meet up next to the Saluda River on the Venture Unknown Farm. While waiting for the sun to set we will gather together for an educational workshop. We will leave it up to vote whether it will be a recovery or Gaia workshop. So bring your comfy chair, your favorite cocktail, and join us around the fire.

Entrance to farm is here   34.720084, -82.460403

Look for VU banner or flag at gate entrance and turn into the farm. Follow path down to the river approximately 1/4 mile until you start to see rigs or river.

Cost???

All VU Movies in the Wild we be a Venture Unknown Foundation (501c3) event. There is no cost expected to attend this event. If you wish to donate to our mission then you may enter any amount into the ticket as you wish. Please do not feel obligated to do so. We want this to be about fun and community first and foremost and do not want anyone to feel pressured to donate. All proceeds will help us to not only improve this event but also to help fund our stewardship projects like Project Oscar.

Friendly pet friendly (must get along with other dogs) Leashes recommended

Bring the lil ones ...family friendly (Leashes recommended haha)

Trailers welcome (plenty of room)

Bring 1 bundle of firewood for community fire

Its summer! Bring bug spray!

It will be warm, dress accordingly. No nudes though haha

Code of Conduct

The GOLDEN RULE …

Treat others how you want to be treated. Have compassion.

-No drinking and driving to, during a ride, or leaving any VU event. Drinking at camp is allowed as long as you are staying the night.

-Drunken behavior is highly frowned upon. Ok to have fun, but know your limits.

-Be respectful regardless of race, sex, age, sexuality

-be mindful of language around young children

-Practice TREADlightly principles while on trail

-Give more than you take.

-Absolutely no threatening behavior or fighting

-Be mindful of camp etiquette and do not come into camp loud after dark

-Practice pack it in, pack it out principles

-Establish trash at camp and use it. No throwing ANY trash in the fire pit or ground

-Bury or pack out all human waste

-If MOST of camp has gone to bed it's time to be VERY quiet. If it's 1am and you and 1 other person are chatting away at the fire but 15 people are asleep…… Go to bed. There is always tomorrow. THIS IS THE ONE THAT GETS THE MOST COMPLAINTS AND WILL START TO BE ENFORCED).

-Last but not least…. bring your patience and adventurous spirit with you and have fun. Group camping can be a ton of fun as long as people follow some basic common courtesies. Strangers are just friends you haven't met yet.
