Recovery Workshop Event

Venture Unknown is excited to announce we will be hosting another recovery workshop. This is an opportunity for us to share with our community the lessons we've learned being on some of the toughest of trails in the Southeast. This will be hosted by Sean Clark but will be an open discussion forum. Late lunch / early dinner will be provided. Camping will be available for those who may be driving distances to attend or may be interested in convoying with us to Greenville SC to attend Rigs and Coffee Greenville chapter @ Thomas Creek Brewery 

Class will last approximately 3-4 hours long. Notes are encouraged as well I will copy and hand out my personal notes for all to take home. So bring the kids, the wife, and dog. Let's enjoy discussing a subject we all should be versed in when offroading. We believe recovery is the single most dangerous thing we do in this hobby and safety should be everyone's top priority.

Where:

1816 Maw Bridge Rd, Central, SC 29630, USA

(This is where you will enter the field.) There will be markers. Follow the orange cones.

Itinerary:

Class will begin at 11am (reason being is some people's travel time)

-Gear suggestion and terminology

-Safety

-Damage prevention and proactive techniques

-Techniques (straight pulls, redirects, etc)

-Demonstration (actual scenarios)

-Hands on practice (everyone will have chances to rig up a recovery)

-After class we will serve a late lunch/early dinner. EAT BREAKFAST BEFORE ARRIVING

-We will have a nice fire at sundown and share campfire stories.

-Lights out around 11ish

-up at 7am to eat breakfast and get ready to convoy over to Rigs and Coffee, enjoy coffee provided by Jitters Brewing Company and talk shop till 12pm.

Cost:

-$25 per rig

-25% discount for veterans

-proceeds help fund Venture Unknown projects

-Tickets will be limited to 20 rigs.

-Lunch provided

-We will have a special VU recovery sticker for everyone.

-Waivers will need to be signed onsite
