Venture Unknown is heading back to offroad Disneyland!!! We welcome everyone to join us for our 3rd annual Winter Wonderland @ Windrock! aka #www2023!
This event will be full of fun for everyone brave enough to weather the cold! This is how we find out just how crazy our members are!

#explore This event is about hitting the trails! Like last time we will have experienced team captains and co captains to lead teams no bigger than 10 through out this 73,000 acre park. We will break these teams up and accommodate 3 different build levels. Mild built 4x4 (no lift, no armor, 31s) , moderately built 4x4 (2in lift, some armor, 33s) and then there's the ones looking for a challenge (3" lift, armor/sliders, winch, 33s-35s. This is NOT 2wd territory! We typically stay off the black diamond trails and will only create that team per request. Last year this was a big success in handling 150+ rigs that showed up! Trail traffic...... Shoot we had the whole park to ourselves and everyone had room to spread out. This is the event where EVERYONE is invited! No max rig count, no tiny campsites, we have a 20 acre field to ourselves! Our own lil pop up Venture Unknown city!
There will be a raffle thanks to the generosity of many sponsors. We will announce those sponsors as they roll in. Last year we gave away tons of Warn products, a set of BFG tires, Morimoto lights, gift certificates from LFD Offroad, Midland radios, swag bags from our neighboring groups, and much more!
#educate We plan to bring in people who are knowledgeable in their field to share their skills with us all in scheduled workshops! Everything from recovery, first aid, 12 volt, meal prep, BFG Q&A, GAIA, Communications (GMRS) and more
Hungry?? We are bringing back the chili war..... I mean cook off!
We will be serenade by Philip Pielow in the evening. More musical acts are being sought after too! Let us know if you have talent.

Official event days are.... January Thurs 12th (Early Arrival), Friday 13th, Saturday 14th, Sunday 15th, Monday 16th (Late Departure)
Early arrival or Late departure??
Early arrival is possible to show up after 12pm Jan 12th Thursday and/or extend your stay till 10am January 16th Monday.
We will offer 2 day, 3 day, and 4 day tickets.
Just note there are no official rides or events planned for Thursday or Monday.
Due to Windrock charges per night for each rig we must collect camping for each night you plan to stay in the event area. BUY THE RIGHT TICKET! I have to provide an accurate rig count to the park for each night.

Park permits are not included in this event. You must purchase permits on their website, campground office,or general store.

There are 4 main types of tickets onsite camping , offsite camping , 16 or over passengers, and extra event packs
Onsite vs Offsite
Some may choose to stay off site in cabins or hotels. We have an offsite ticket for you. Your ticket will not include camping fees but will include an event pack.
What is an "event pack"
5 raffle tickets, event patch, event sticker, VU special gift, event lanyard, provided firewood, dinner for Fri and Sat night, workshops, and live entertainment.
Camping/per rig tickets $70
Camping ticket includes 2 night stay for 1 rig/driver and an event pack
Each additional night is $10
Driver off-site event tickets $35
Includes entry, dinner, and an event pack minus camping fees.
Passenger ticket $10
(15 or under is free)
Includes access into event area, dinner, workshops, entertainment NO EVENT PACK
Additional / extra event pack $25
This is in case one of your passengers wants 5 raffle tickets, event sticker, patch, and special VU gift. This is optional this year.

Driver offsite camping, hotel, or cabin with 2 passengers and one of you wants an extra event pack???
Purchase 1 driver offsite ticket $35, 2 passengers (over 16) 2x$10 = $20, and 1 extra event pack $25 = $80 total

Bath house and restrooms are on site at the campground with hot showers approximately 1/4 mile from event area
We will have a Porta potty brought in on-site near the event pavilion
Shirts and hoodies are onsale on our website till DEC 11th. This is a presale. We will bring your shirt to the event at check in. I'll give you a hint ....We are destroying a snowman with a rig!

This ticket is ONLY for people wanting to camp in the event in their rig but is riding copilot in someone else's rig. This ticket will not allow you to be assigned to a team and your rig CAN NOT join a team. TEAMS ARE FULL! This ticket covers Windrock camping fees for up to 4 days only! You will still need a park permit to ride copilot in someone else's rig per Windrock policy. Permits are avail at Windrock General Store.
