❄️ Winter Wonderland @ Windrock 2026
It's that time of year again for the infamous 5th Annual Winter Wonderland @ Windrock, also known as #WWW2026! Venture Unknown's biggest event of the year is set to take place at our home park, Windrock, the largest off-road park in the country, boasting 73,000 acres and 300+ miles of trails. This four-day event is packed with camping, raffles, educational workshops, team-based trail rides, a chili cook-off, World Famous BBQ from Blue Hound, and more. It’s all about fun, teamwork, and camaraderie in an environment that promises adventure, community, and a little chaos!

What are the dates of the event?
A: January 15–19, 2026 at Windrock Park in Oliver Springs, TN.

When does registration open, and how can I register?
A: Registration opens October 1, 2025 at 7:00 PM ET. Register on the Venture Unknown Website — tickets sell out fast!
🎟 Tickets & Costs
Driver Ticket – $135 (includes camping, swag pack, and 5 raffle tickets)
Passenger Ticket – $20 (swag pack available separately for $30)
Extra Event Swag Pack - $35
Non-Team Rig / “Just wanna camp w everyone & attend” – $135 (limited; no team assignment, INCLUDES SWAG PACK)
Raffle Tickets – 5 for $18 online / 5 for $20 at the event or $5 each
What is included in the event swag pack?
A: A special VU gift, a #WWW2026 patch, a WWW2026 sticker, and 5 raffle tickets.
🚙 Rig Requirements
What are the rig requirements for this event?
Minimum to join team rides:
31" all-terrain tires
2" lift
Factory skid plates
Full-size spare tire
Proper front & rear recovery points (mandatory)
Highly recommended:
33" mud-terrain tires
2.5" lift
Rock sliders
Armor (front and rear)
Skid Plates
Winch
Recovery kit (Kinetic rope, tree saver, shackles)
Note: Bring an adventurous spirit — this event is tougher than many expect!
Can I still participate if I don’t meet the rig requirements?
A: You must meet the minimums for team rides. Otherwise, you can purchase a Non-Team Rig ticket to camp, co-pilot, and join non-team activities, but you will not be on team rides. Running only the minimums increases the risk of vehicle damage.
🛻 Trails
How hard are the trails?
A: This is a BLUE trail event.
We’re bringing back 2 GREEN teams (very limited; exception to the rule).
20 teams will run BLUE trails (moderate; challenging in snow/ice)
2 teams will run GREEN trails (scenic, still requires minimum rig requirements)
What type of trails can I expect overall?
A: Trails range from green (easy) to black (difficult). For this event, rigs must handle blue (moderate). Beware wheel rock rash is likely.
🏕 Camping & Lodging
What is the camping situation?
A: Camping is included (Thu–Sun) in a 20-acre field near the pavilion. It’s primitive — prepare for cold weather. Porta-potties are on-site; flush toilets and hot showers are nearby.
Can I stay somewhere else?
A: Yes. Your ticket includes camping in the event area, but you may also book Windrock cabins, Airbnbs, or hotels.
Are there restrooms?
A: Yes. Porta-potties near the pavilion and flush toilets and hot showers are about 1/8 mile away from the event pavilion (walkable).
What should I bring for camping in cold weather?
A: Insulated footwear, wool socks, base layers/long johns, gloves, a cold-rated sleeping bag, hand warmers, and a safe heat source (diesel heater or “Little Buddy”).

When will I get my WWW hoodie/shirts I ordered on the website?
A: All apparel is preorder and will be given to you at check-in.
Where do I show up to get my swag and register?
A: Look for the VU pop-up at the pavilion: Windrock Pavilion – 599 Windrock Park Ln, Oliver Springs, TN 37840
What are check-in times?
A: Thu: 12:00 PM (noon) • Fri: 7:00–8:00 AM • Sat: 7:00–8:00 AM Arrive at check-in with your permits in hand.
What time are the drivers’ meetings, and do I need to attend?
A: Fri: 8:00 AM & Sat: 8:00 AM — Attendance is mandatory. Don't be late, your team is depending on you!

🪪 Permits
Are there any additional costs besides the ticket price?
A: Yes. Windrock Park permits are required per person per day and must be purchased separately. Arrive at check-in with your permits in hand.
Where do I get my Windrock Park permits?

🛠 Team Ride Structure / Max Rig Count
What is the team ride structure, and why is it important?
A: Teams are pre-assigned based on registration details, capped at 10 rigs (2 captains + 8 attendees). This ensures teamwork, safety, and community. MAX RIG COUNT IS 220
Can I join a team on the day of the event or just show up?
A: No. Teams are set in advance, and no additional rigs are added day-of.
🎉 Off-Trail Activities
What activities are planned off the trails?
A: Raffles, educational workshops, a chili cook-off, Blue Hound BBQ, a flex-ramp competition, community fires, and games.
What if it rains or snows?
A: This is a rain-or-shine event. Historically, it snows at least one day. No refunds for weather.
🚫 Rules & Conduct
Can I bring alcohol to the event?
A: Alcohol is allowed in the event area ONLY — not on trails. NO DRINKING AND DRIVING, & NO DRUGS. Windrock enforces this policy; violations may result in a park ban.
Are there rules or a code of conduct?
A: Yes.

Obey all park rules
15 MPH campground speed limit
NO on the ground fires with the exception of the community fire
Generators only on generator row.

📡 Communication
How do I stay informed during the event?
A: A full itinerary will be released; on-site schedules will be available.
A: We’ll also attempt to add you to your team chat via Facebook Messenger appx 2 weeks prior to the event.
What communications are used on trail?
A: All captains use GMRS radios. Bringing a GMRS radio is highly recommended. We may loan you one as well. TEAM EFFORT!!
